Xi'an, China – September 17, 2026 -- JDEnergy has signed a framework agreement with Spanish partner WDenergia targeting 200 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) business in Spain, focused on commercial and industrial (C&I) projects.

The cooperation pairs JDEnergy's string PCS technology and international project track record with WDenergia's local development and EPC capabilities. The partnership was detailed during a joint webinar titled "Future-Ready Energy Storage: String PCS Architecture for Spain's Energy Transition," which brought together JDEnergy's technical and sales teams with WDenergia representatives.
String PCS architecture isolates battery clusters to cut degradation-related losses
JDEnergy's string PCS design provides independent control at the battery-cluster level, eliminating DC-side parallel connections found in conventional centralized systems. Each cluster charges and discharges according to its own operating conditions, a structure the company says improves fault isolation, system availability and operational flexibility. Over a project's lifecycle, the architecture is designed to offset differences in battery degradation and sustain higher energy utilization.
eBlock-418A storage system has shipped to Hungary, Germany, Italy and Japan
The webinar centered on JDEnergy's eBlock-418A, a modular storage unit built on the string PCS architecture for grid-side and large-scale C&I deployments. Its AC-side configuration allows flexible scaling across project sizes, and its grid-forming capability lets the system establish and regulate voltage and frequency independently. JDEnergy said the eBlock-418A has already been delivered to projects in Hungary, Germany, Italy and Japan.
Spain's push to expand renewable capacity and grid flexibility underpins the new partnership, with JDEnergy and WDenergia positioning the 200 MWh framework as an entry point for further C&I storage deployment in the country.
