Kuala Lumpur – October 29, 2026 -- Integris Composites signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CTruk Boats at Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2026 to develop lightweight composite armour for high-performance marine platforms, including a next-generation Surface Effect Ship (SES) Fast Patrol Craft.
Armour and hull expertise combine in the CTruk agreement
The MOU pairs Integris' advanced armour systems with CTruk's composite vessel design capabilities. The partners target improved survivability, reduced weight and better operational performance for naval and security forces operating in demanding maritime environments.

DSA 2026 ran in Kuala Lumpur from 20 to 23 April 2026. Integris showed composite armour, lightweight ballistic protection and modular survivability solutions for land and maritime platforms. Managing Director Yohann Barnaud, Sales Director Jacob Abelsen and Sales Manager Yizhong Chen represented the company's APAC unit.
The team met regional defence organisations, OEMs and procurement bodies. Talks covered armour integration, lifecycle performance and next-generation protection requirements. Integris reports new business opportunities, qualified leads and long-term partnerships from the meetings.
Barnaud described DSA as giving "direct access to key decision-makers across the Asia-Pacific defence sector."
Asia-Pacific defence spending reached about USD 632 billion in 2025
Integris cites regional budget growth of more than 5% annually between 2022 and 2025. It names geopolitical tensions, maritime security concerns and military modernisation programmes as the drivers.
The company says maritime security, fast patrol vessels and lightweight protection technologies are gaining importance across Southeast Asia and the wider Indo-Pacific.
