Integra to Auction Chicago Scenic Studios CNC and Industrial Assets

Chicago – October 19, 2026 -- Integra Asset Solutions will sell equipment from Chicago Scenic Studios, including two CNC routers and a CNC waterjet cutter, in an online-only public auction on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CT.

The assets are located at the company's facility at 955 W. Cermak Road in Chicago. Chicago Scenic Studios was founded in 1978 and grew from a design and fabrication shop serving Chicago's theater community into a scenic fabrication company serving theater, television and film, museums, corporate events and branded environments.

Lot mix spans CNC, woodworking, metalworking, rigging and trucks

The offering covers woodworking and metalworking machinery, welding and fabrication equipment, material handling gear, stage production and rigging equipment, and paint and finishing assets. It also includes hundreds of power and hand tools, trucks, storage, air compressors, other facility support equipment, and office furniture and equipment.

The breadth reflects the in-house woodworking, metal fabrication, painting and finishing capabilities the studio needed for its project work. That work included projects for the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, as well as Nike, McDonald's and Radio City Music Hall. It also included the staging and scenery for Barack Obama's 2008 election-night celebration in Grant Park.

Integra targets buyers well beyond scenic fabrication

John Magnuson, President and Managing Director of Integra Asset Solutions, said the sale is unusually diverse because of the range of work done at the facility. He said the equipment suits not only other scenic fabricators but also manufacturers, machine shops, woodworking operations, contractors, construction companies, warehouses and maintenance departments.

Onsite inspection runs October 26; earlier viewings by appointment

Public inspection takes place Monday, October 26, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT, the day before bidding opens. Earlier inspections are available by appointment. Integra encourages buyers to register early. Catalogs, photographs, inspection details and terms of sale are available through the auctioneer.
