His remit has extended beyond daily operations into strategic planning, capital projects and business development, working with ownership groups over more than 30 years to execute hospitality projects.
Berman to focus on sailing programs and Chesapeake Bay dining identity
Set on 26 acres along the Miles River, Inn at Perry Cabin operates a fleet of seven sailing and motoring vessels, including the 55-foot Hinckley "Five Star" and the historic 1902 Skipjack "Stanley Norman." Berman said he aims to build on the property's sailing programs and refresh its culinary identity around Chesapeake Bay influences. The resort also features the Pete Dye-designed Links at Perry Cabin championship golf course.
Originally from South Africa, Berman has relocated to St. Michaels with his wife, Shannon, and son, Cooper Wilde.
