Zifo wins Nasscom AI Gamechanger award for LIMS data tool

Chennai – October 16, 2026 -- Zifo has been named a Gamechanger in Healthcare & Pharma in the enterprise segment at the Nasscom AI Gamechangers Awards 2026, for an AI service accelerator that speeds up master data creation for laboratory information management systems (LIMS).

Zifo's accelerator targets manual master data preparation in LIMS projects

Master data is foundational to configuring and implementing a LIMS. The source information is often scattered across PDFs, specifications, procedures and spreadsheets. Finding it, checking it and converting it into structured master data objects takes significant manual effort. The work must also meet the consistency, traceability and auditability that regulated environments expect.

Boston – – October 08, 2026 -- Araceli Biosciences and Ginkgo Bioworks (NYSE: DNA) have integrated Araceli's Endeavor high-content imaging instrument into Nebula, Ginkgo's autonomous laboratory in Boston, adding what the companies describe as the world's fastest high-content imaging system to a facility already running more than 100 automated carts around the clock.

Endeavor images a 1536-well plate in under four minutes

The Endeavor instrument captures and analyzes cellular data from a full 1536-well plate in less than four minutes, running continuously alongside Nebula's other always-on experiments. The system is built on Ginkgo's Reconfigurable Automation Carts (RACs), modular units combining robotic arms, automated sample transport and unified control software that let instruments be added or rearranged as research workflows shift.

MGI Tech Debuts Large-Chip FFPE Spatial Design at ESSB 2026

Sitges – October 08, 2026 -- MGI Tech Co., Ltd. unveiled its Stereo-seq OMNI Large Chip Design for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples at the third Conference of the European Society for Spatial Biology (ESSB), held September 28 to October 1 at Hotel Meliá Sitges near Barcelona.

New chip format expands capture area to 2 cm by 3 cm for FFPE research

The design builds on MGI's existing Stereo-seq OMNI V1.1 platform and is built for chip formats up to 2 cm by 3 cm, enabling researchers to profile larger tissues, multiple sections, or tissue microarray layouts within a single spatial experiment. Standard capture areas have limited researchers' ability to view larger or structurally diverse FFPE sections, a constraint the new format is engineered to address.
