The companies unveiled the integrated workflow at Omnissa ONE 2026 for customers and partners in attendance.
New workflow closes endpoint recovery gap in continuity plans
Business continuity plans typically prioritize restoring applications, infrastructure, and data, leaving a gap around the physical endpoint employees need to reach those resources. The new approach embeds IGEL BC&DR readiness into routine device-management operations rather than treating it as a separate project. Using Workspace ONE UEM workflows, IT teams can run pre-install checks and prepare supported endpoints for IGEL Dual Boot, which installs IGEL OS alongside an existing Windows environment as an alternate operating path during a disruption.
Emergency Mode shifts endpoints to IGEL OS during active incidents
When a disruption occurs, IGEL BC&DR with Emergency Mode can centrally move Dual Boot-enabled endpoints into IGEL OS and hold them there until administrators confirm it is safe to resume normal operations. This gives users continued access to approved virtual desktops, digital workspaces, SaaS applications, and browser-based services while IT and security teams investigate and remediate the affected Windows environment.
