Winnemucca, Nev. – September 21, 2026 -- Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: HYMC) is finalizing technical assessments for underground development at its high-grade Brimstone and Vortex systems while evaluating a restart of heap leach operations at its Nevada mine. The Company paired the update with a rebranded corporate identity and redesigned website as it evaluates multiple pathways to unlock shareholder value in the second half of 2026.
RESPEC and Hatch engaged to evaluate underground mining and processing alternatives
Hycroft has engaged RESPEC Company LLC to evaluate underground mining alternatives and develop a conceptual mine plan for the Brimstone and Vortex systems, including potential locations for an exploration decline that would provide underground drill access. Hatch Ltd. has been engaged separately to evaluate processing alternatives for recovering silver and gold from a potential underground operation, supported by a metallurgical test program at Hazen Research Inc. to characterize the high-grade material.
Completed roasting test program sets up trade-off study against pressure oxidation
The Company has completed its roasting metallurgical test program and is finalizing a trade-off analysis against pressure oxidation for the broader sulfide resource. Roasting carries the potential for an added revenue stream through production and sale of sulfuric acid, a critical input for lithium, copper and fertilizer production.
Heap leach restart evaluation follows 2025 reverse circulation drilling
A reverse circulation drill program initiated in late 2025 further defined the quantity, location and characteristics of oxide and transition material at the site. A metallurgical test program is now underway to determine next steps for advancing a potential heap leach restart.
Executive Chairman and CEO Diane Garrett said the Company is awaiting two additional core rigs, expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, to accelerate drilling on Vortex and Brimstone and test other prospective targets across the site. She said the goal is to define the production path that delivers the highest economic value from the asset to shareholders.
Garrett noted the Company has strengthened its Board and management team with mining leaders bringing operating, technical, financial and strategic experience to support the next phase of growth, and that the updated website and corporate materials are intended to improve communication of progress across the asset.
