San Diego – – October 06, 2026 -- Halozyme Therapeutics (Nasdaq: HALO) has expanded its global collaboration and license agreement with argenx, adding two new exclusive targets for its ENHANZE drug-delivery platform and raising the partner's total exclusive target count from six to eight.
Halozyme adds two exclusive ENHANZE targets to argenx licensing deal
The expanded agreement builds on the companies' existing collaboration, which already delivered VYVGART Hytrulo, a subcutaneous treatment for myasthenia gravis (MG) and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). Under the new terms, Halozyme is eligible for milestone payments tied to development and regulatory progress on the additional targets, plus royalties on future net sales of any resulting products using ENHANZE.
Argenx cites patient-experience gains from prior subcutaneous launch
Arjen Lemmen, Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at argenx, said the expansion lets the company extend the subcutaneous-delivery approach used in VYVGART Hytrulo to a broader immunology pipeline. Halozyme CEO Helen Torley said the deal reinforces ENHANZE's position as the preferred platform for rapid, large-volume subcutaneous administration as drugmakers prioritize reduced treatment burden.
ENHANZE now licensed across more than a dozen biopharma partners
ENHANZE, built on Halozyme's proprietary rHuPH20 enzyme, has reached over one million patients through ten commercialized products across more than 100 global markets. The technology is licensed to partners including Roche, Takeda, Pfizer, Janssen, AbbVie, Eli Lilly, Bristol-Myers Squibb, ViiV Healthcare, Chugai Pharmaceutical, Merus, GSK and Incyte, alongside argenx.
