Fibocom Launches MGB GNSS Series for India's IoT Market

New Delhi – October 07, 2026 -- Fibocom unveiled its MGB Series GNSS portfolio at India Mobile Congress 2026, introducing three modules that range from cost-efficient single-frequency tracking to RTK-enabled positioning accurate to 1 cm + 1 ppm.

Three modules target different cost and accuracy tiers

The MGB180 and MGB280 handle mainstream single-frequency GNSS needs, supporting GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS with 96 tracking channels and integrated AGNSS. MGB180 is built for highly cost-sensitive tracking devices with compact, low-power design, while MGB280 adds faster startup, reacquisition and cellular coexistence for asset tracking, fleet management and vehicle telematics.

MGB390 adds dual-frequency and NavIC support for Indian deployments

The MGB390 extends the series with dual-frequency GNSS and 180 tracking channels. Its MGB390-AR variant delivers RTK high-accuracy positioning at 1 cm + 1 ppm horizontal accuracy, while the MGB390-A variant supports India's NavIC (IRNSS) regional navigation system for local applicability.

All three modules are already in mass production

Fibocom confirmed MGB180, MGB280 and MGB390 have entered mass production and the company is working with customers and ecosystem partners in India to accelerate integration into location-enabled IoT devices.

Kony Li, General Manager of Fibocom's MTC Business Unit, said India's growing IoT ecosystem is driving demand for technology partners capable of supporting the full cycle from product development to large-scale deployment.
