Cham, Switzerland – September 22, 2026 -- EYKON has agreed to sell its water meter business to Sensus International, with both companies operating under the AURELIUS Midmarket portfolio.
EYKON sharpens focus on advanced metering and connectivity after divesting water unit
The transaction allows EYKON to concentrate resources on areas where it holds established scale, long-standing customer relationships and leading market positions. EYKON, formerly the Landis+Gyr EMEA business, serves customers across more than 75 markets and supports over 100 million connected endpoints. The deal marks a further step in the company's portfolio evolution following its earlier expansion into the water sector.
Sensus International absorbs water metering operations amid international expansion
Sensus International, which employs more than 800 people across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia, will take over the water metering business following the transition. The company specializes in water and thermal energy metering infrastructure, combining metrology expertise with secure communications technology for utility clients.
EYKON commits to existing customer contracts through transition period
EYKON stated it will continue to fulfil existing customer commitments under agreed terms, with continuity and reliability prioritized during the handover. The realignment separates EYKON's broader metering and digital utility operations from dedicated water metering activities now consolidated under Sensus International.
