Digicust hires ex-PwC Austria marketing chief to lead partner push

Vienna – November 01, 2026 -- Austrian AI company Digicust has appointed Alexander Miklautz, previously Head of Marketing at PwC Austria, as Head of Global Partnerships & Events, effective November 1, 2026. The hire makes strategic partnerships a standalone growth channel alongside direct enterprise sales.

Miklautz will develop the partner network and joint market-entry and sales initiatives. Digicust is targeting customs software vendors, consulting and implementation firms, technology companies and industry organizations. The goal is deeper integration of its platform into existing system landscapes and access to new markets.

Miklautz to build a structured partner program with training and marketing support

He will expand the partner program with defined cooperation models, joint market-development plans, and training and marketing offerings for partners. Trade events and industry formats are intended to generate new collaborations.

Before PwC Austria, Miklautz worked at law firm Wolf Theiss, business magazine Forbes, XING and Mediaplanet. His background spans B2B marketing, sales and business development.

CEO Matthias Pfeiler said that local partners understand regional markets, installed systems and customer requirements, and that partnerships will bring Digicust's technology into practice faster.

Digicust platform adds an automation layer ahead of existing customs software

The platform processes documents and emails, structures customs data, supports goods classification and prepares compliance checks. Results are then passed to customers' existing systems.

That architecture opens several routes. Customs software vendors can add AI functions to their products, while consulting and implementation partners can embed the platform in customer projects. Sales and country partners contribute local expertise and customer relationships to establish Digicust in additional markets.

The partner expansion is meant to broaden integration into customs, ERP, transport management and trade compliance systems. Cooperation will range from joint sales activities and customer project delivery to the development of integrated solutions.
