SHERIDAN, WYOMING – May 11, 2025 – Dentsply Sirona, the world’s leading manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, has once again been named one of America’s Most Responsible Companies by Newsweek, while also inaugurating a state-of-the-art digital dental clinic in an indigenous village in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. The twin milestones underscore the company’s strategic focus on sustainable dentistry and its long-term commitment to improving access to oral healthcare worldwide.
Recognition for Long-Term ESG Commitment
This marks the fourth time Dentsply Sirona has been honored in Newsweek’s annual ranking, a testament to its robust environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives under its “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World” program. The recognition affirms Dentsply Sirona’s position as a B2B industry leader not only in dental innovation but also in corporate responsibility.
“We are proud to receive this recognition. It underscores our long-standing commitment to improve access to oral healthcare globally and to create healthy smiles,” said Andrea Frohning, SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at Dentsply Sirona.
Breakthrough in Indigenous Oral Healthcare Access
Demonstrating its ESG commitments in action, the company has partnered with the Amazon Doctors, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing healthcare to Brazil’s remote regions, to open the first digital dental clinic in Rio Silveira village, located in Bertioga city, São Paulo.
Key features of the 70m² facility include:
- State-of-the-art equipment such as a Primescan AC and a Sinius dental chair donated by Dentsply Sirona.
- Digital capabilities that enable intraoral scanning, digital impressions, and computer-assisted diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Capacity for 40 appointments per week across multiple specialties including restorative dentistry, endodontics, and prosthetics.
The clinic is expected to serve around 1,000 indigenous residents and will be operated by the Amazon Doctors.
“By joining forces with Dentsply Sirona, we can create a brighter future for underserved communities. Together, we are improving access to oral health and strengthening the dignity, well-being, and autonomy of indigenous peoples,” said Dr. Caio from the Amazon Doctors.
Strategic, Long-Term Global Partnerships
This initiative represents a decade-long collaboration between Dentsply Sirona and the Amazon Doctors, which has delivered more than 100,000 dental treatments across 52 indigenous communities in Brazil. Over 60,000 kilometers have been traveled by boat, plane, and road to reach these remote populations, reinforcing the operational dedication behind the company’s vision.
The project also aligns with Dentsply Sirona’s global goal to enable and empower 25 million smiles by the end of 2025. In addition to its work with Amazon Doctors, the company maintains strategic alliances with other NGOs such as Smile Train, Project 32, and TeamSmile to expand access to oral health care globally.
Driving Sustainable Dentistry and Social Impact
Dentsply Sirona’s dual recognition—corporate responsibility on the national stage and hands-on global impact—reinforces the growing expectation for B2B companies to operate with purpose. The company’s proactive approach not only advances oral healthcare but also positions it as a model for integrating ESG principles into core business strategy.
As sustainability and social equity increasingly influence procurement and partnership decisions in the dental and healthcare industries, Dentsply Sirona’s initiatives stand out for their measurable, lasting impact.
