Los Angeles – October 13, 2026 -- CUJO AI has identified more than four billion devices across its global deployments, adding its latest billion in just two years, the network intelligence and cybersecurity vendor announced.
Device diversity forces operators beyond network-level monitoring
Broadband operators face a growing visibility gap as connected devices multiply and diversify. Gaming consoles, security cameras, work laptops, smart televisions and connected appliances each place different demands on the home network. Without device-level context, operators have limited insight into the causes of performance problems, security risks in the home and the experience individual customers receive.
CUJO AI CEO Remko Vos said networks cannot be automated or optimized around devices that cannot be identified. He noted that broadband has traditionally been managed around connections, speeds and network-level metrics, while customers experience connectivity through applications and devices.
AI models recognize more than 72,000 device models
CUJO AI uses artificial intelligence models to identify and contextualize connected devices by type, manufacturer, model and operating system. Its technology currently recognizes more than 72,000 device models.
The visibility lets network service providers separate device-related, Wi-Fi, application and wider network problems. Operators can use the data to diagnose issues more accurately, automate customer care, detect security risks and adapt network performance to different devices and applications.
Spectrum cites device intelligence as essential to service consistency
Dave Rodrian, Senior Vice President of Connectivity Products at Spectrum, said device-level intelligence powered by CUJO AI is essential to delivering a consistent, high-quality connectivity experience for customers and their devices.
Proactive operations shift from complaint response to early detection
Knowing which devices are connected and how they are used allows operators to move from reacting to customer complaints toward detecting and resolving potential problems before customers are affected. CUJO AI says its device intelligence supports network optimization, proactive customer care, cybersecurity, digital parenting and personalized services.
The company lists Comcast, Charter Communications, T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, TELUS, Sky Italia, Sky UK, Rogers, Cox, Shaw, Videotron, BT and EE among the network service providers using its technology.
