Telit Cinterion Hits 1-2cm GNSS Accuracy via Cellular NTRIP Corrections

Amsterdam – September 22, 2026 -- Telit Cinterion demonstrated an integrated cellular-GNSS positioning system achieving 1-2 centimeter average precision, using cellular-delivered correction data instead of dedicated satellite hardware. The IoT solutions provider is showcasing the technology at Booth M6 during The Things Conference 2026, running Sept. 22-23 at De Kromhouthal in Amsterdam.

Cellular module delivers centimeter-level GNSS corrections over standard network connections

The demonstration runs on a CMB100 development kit built around Telit Cinterion's CMB100 LTE Cat 1 bis module. Using AT commands processed through the kit's onboard ST microcontroller, the module establishes a network connection via a Telit Cinterion NExT SIM and downloads Skylark Nx RTK MSM5 GNSS correction data from Swift Navigation through NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol).

Boca Raton, Fla. – September 15, 2026 -- deviceWISE, a Telit Cinterion company, will run three live production demonstrations at IMTS 2026 in Chicago, September 14-19, showing agentic AI that detects faults on a live robotic cell and guides automated recovery.

Three live demonstrations show layered factory automation at Booth 236475

Visitors will see visual inspection, robotic sorting and automated assembly running on the deviceWISE platform. A visual inspection station using deviceWISE Visual Intelligence will check circuit boards and other objects for defects or missing components. A robot will sort colored cubes in an agentic AI and digital twin demonstration, while a second robot performs a FANUC AI auto assembly of industrial parts.

Boca Raton, Fla. – – September 11, 2026 -- Telit Cinterion unveiled an edge AI software development kit that runs machine learning inference directly on the application core of its cellular modules, eliminating the need for a separate AI accelerator chip. The IoT connectivity provider said proof-of-concept testing on image classification and object detection tasks kept CPU consumption at or below 17%, a threshold that avoids thermal throttling of 4G and 5G radio performance.

SDK embeds Google's LiteRT runtime into module firmware set for Q4 2026 release

The kit incorporates LiteRT, the runtime formerly known as TensorFlow Lite, into the Linux-based firmware of upcoming Telit Cinterion AI-enabled module variants spanning 4G, 5G RedCap and high-performance 5G. The company plans to ship the SDK in the fourth quarter of 2026.
