Tamarack Resort Adds Automated Snowmaking to 20% of Terrain

Tamarack, Idaho – September 22, 2026 -- Tamarack Resort is installing automated TechnoAlpin TT10 tower-mounted fan guns to expand permanent snowmaking coverage to more than twenty percent of its existing terrain, targeting the Waltz and Serenity trails ahead of the winter season.
Automated guns target short cold-weather windows before Thanksgiving
Tamarack typically records roughly 200 hours of snowmaking-suitable temperatures before Thanksgiving, but mobile snowguns require crews to manually transport, position, connect and operate equipment, limiting effectiveness during two- to four-hour cold spells. The new TT10 units can activate as soon as conditions allow, letting the resort capture windows previously too short to use with mobile equipment.
