Combined portfolio merges emulation and traffic-generation technologies
The integrated offering pairs Calnex's network emulation portfolio -- SNE, SNE-X and SNE-Ignite -- with VIAVI's L0-7 ONE LabPro, TestCenter and CyberFlood platforms. The combined architecture generates realistic application and user traffic, recreates real-world network conditions, and measures resulting performance impacts before deployment.
Partnership targets AI, data center, defense, satcom and enterprise sectors
Graeme Urquhart, VP Sales at Calnex Solutions, said growing network topology complexity places greater demands on pre-deployment testing, with many validation environments failing to mirror real-world conditions and raising post-launch performance risk. Mark Bateman, VIAVI's Vice President of Sales and Channel for Lab and Production, said the combination of traffic generation and network emulation allows customers to move beyond lab simulations to validate application, service and network performance in production environments.
Expansion builds on existing Open RAN testing collaboration
The companies' prior cooperation covered comprehensive Open RAN testing across protocol, signal and timing domains, using VIAVI's TM500, TeraVM and XEdge platforms alongside Calnex's Paragon-neo, SNE-Ignite and SNE-X. The newly expanded scope extends that work to broader network infrastructure validation across the AI, Data Center, Defense, Satcom and Enterprise markets.
