Austin, Texas – September 24, 2026 -- Scale Computing announced that a growing roster of major convenience and fuel retail chains has standardized on its edge computing and network platform, with deployments delivering measurable operational gains across thousands of locations ahead of the NACS Show in Las Vegas, October 6-9, 2026.
Casey's General Stores rolled out edge computing to 2,600 stores in ten months
Casey's General Stores, the third-largest U.S. convenience chain with nearly 2,900 locations, partnered with Intel to deploy SC//Reliant Manager Edge Computing as a Service across more than 2,600 stores. The cloud-to-edge platform let Casey's virtualize legacy point-of-sale and fuel systems, extend the life of existing hardware, and run containerized applications alongside virtualized workloads to support mobile ordering and loyalty programs.
Royal Farms doubled deployment speed and cut recovery time 90%
Royal Farms, a roughly 300-location Mid-Atlantic chain, standardized on SC//HyperCore HyperVisor and SC//Fleet Manager to modernize 24/7/365 store IT under tight space and budget constraints. Using Zero Touch Provisioning, the chain scaled deployments from 11-12 stores per week to 20-25 stores per week, while cutting hardware-failure recovery time by 90% and infrastructure management time by 75%.
RaceTrac reduced support incidents 40% and truck rolls 90%
RaceTrac, the Atlanta-based operator of nearly 600 RaceTrac stores and over 200 RaceWay locations across the Southeast, deployed SC//Reliant Manager to consolidate single-purpose hardware and centralize network management. Since deployment, the company recorded a 40%-plus reduction in overall support incidents and a 90% reduction in truck rolls for critical device failures.
"The ability to consolidate hardware and systems, plus allowing us to make changes to a single location, specific groups of stores, or even chain-wide in near real time, was a game changer for us," said Tyler Grubbs, executive director of store technology at RaceTrac.
S&G Stores achieved 95%-plus uptime across Ohio and Michigan locations
S&G Stores, a convenience and gas station chain operating in Ohio and Michigan, deployed SC//AcuVigil solutions for c-store networks to improve visibility and simplify remote troubleshooting, achieving uptime above 95% across its locations.
Scale Computing CEO William Morrow said the platform is designed to let c-store operators secure, connect, and manage every store from a single system as payment security, PCI DSS compliance, and round-the-clock uptime requirements strain lean IT teams managing hundreds to thousands of dispersed sites.
