San Francisco – October 06, 2026 -- Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) has named Diana Colella executive vice president of its architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) business, the company's largest industry unit. She succeeds Amy Bunszel, who announced her retirement and will remain at Autodesk through November 2, 2026, to support the transition.
Colella will steer Autodesk Forma as the core growth engine for AEC
Colella takes charge as Autodesk enters what it calls the next phase of AEC growth, anchored by Autodesk Forma, its industry cloud that links data, context and workflows to deliver AI and project intelligence across the building lifecycle. Her mandate includes advancing the Forma strategy while tying desktop products such as Revit and Civil 3D more closely into Forma workflows.
Nearly three decades of internal leadership precede the appointment
Colella joined Autodesk through its acquisition of Discreet Logic and has since held roles across finance, strategy, sales, operations and product management, including leading the AutoCAD business and helping launch One AutoCAD. Most recently she led the AI transformation of Autodesk's Media & Entertainment business, advancing the Flow platform strategy through acquisitions including Moxion, PIX and Wonder Dynamics, alongside development of Autodesk Flow Studio.
Colella retains oversight of Media & Entertainment during the transition
She will continue overseeing the M&E business while opening a search for a new leader who will report directly to her. Andrew Anagnost, president and CEO of Autodesk, said Colella has a track record of leading through major technology shifts and aligning products, data and teams behind a clear vision.
Colella said customers face mounting pressure to deliver more amid greater project complexity, resource constraints and rapid technological change, and that her priority is to ensure Forma and AI investments translate into measurable improvements in how projects are designed, built and operated.
