Seoul – September 29, 2026 -- South Korean automotive electronics firm AP MOBILITY has shipped approximately 1,100 units of its S KEY LITE smart key system to Taiwanese distributors between the second half of 2025 and August 2026, forming the foundation for a broader push into the global automotive aftermarket.
The company is now expanding its overseas product lineup beyond smart keys to include MAX PRO, an AI-based 360-degree around-view solution, and AB LIGHT, a pedal misapplication prevention system.
S KEY builds convenience features onto Hyundai and Kia factory systems
S KEY expands vehicle convenience by layering functions such as automatic door lock/unlock, lock-while-running, and remote control onto the factory smart key systems of Hyundai and Kia vehicles. AP MOBILITY is leveraging the fact that Hyundai and Kia vehicles are widely distributed overseas to extend its domestic vehicle-specific technology experience into international markets, having validated the model through direct sales to Taiwanese distributors since 2025.
AB LIGHT cuts accelerator signal without ECU modification
AB LIGHT analyzes vehicle CAN data in real time to detect abnormal pedal operation, issuing visual and audible warnings before cutting off the accelerator pedal signal if dangerous acceleration persists. The system is designed for aftermarket installation without requiring modification of a vehicle's ECU, targeting a safety risk the company says affects drivers across all age groups.
MAX PRO adds AI-based visibility for parking and blind-spot detection
MAX PRO provides 360-degree video to help drivers identify blind spots and hazards while parking and driving, combining video technology with vehicle safety functions to supplement driver visibility.
Company plans staged expansion of vehicle models and supply countries
AP MOBILITY intends to broaden cooperation with overseas distribution partners, increasing the range of applicable vehicle models and supply countries for S KEY centered on Hyundai and Kia platforms. MAX PRO and AB LIGHT are being positioned as the next products for overseas rollout, with applicable vehicle models and supply scope to expand in stages based on each country's vehicle environment.
"Building on our product supply experience in the Taiwanese market, we plan to expand cooperation with overseas distribution partners and broaden the supply of our automotive electronics products to a range of countries," an AP MOBILITY representative said.
