Newport Beach – October 16, 2026 -- Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has finalized an order with Airbus for 75 A320neo Family aircraft, the largest order in the lessor's nearly 40-year history, with deliveries scheduled between 2032 and 2035.
The order lifts ACG's outstanding A320neo Family commitments to 115 aircraft. As of June 30, 2026, the lessor had 118 A320neo Family aircraft in its fleet. The agreement includes conversion rights to other variants within the family, which gives ACG flexibility across its future delivery pipeline.
Order book now extends into the mid-2030s
Rob Downes, ACG's Chief OEM Officer, said the order gives the company additional capacity to meet airline demand for replacement and growth requirements. It also extends ACG's order book pipeline into the mid-2030s, he said.
ACG CEO and President Thomas Baker described the deal as a statement of confidence in the long-term future of air travel. He said ACG's portfolio strategy centers on new-technology narrowbody aircraft that are most in demand with airlines globally.
Airbus cites partnership dating to 2007
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business, said the partnership dates to 2007, when ACG placed its first order with Airbus. He said ACG will be able to offer customers the A320neo Family well into the next decade.
Aircraft specifications
The A320neo Family is powered by new-generation engines from CFM and Pratt & Whitney. Airbus states the family delivers up to 20% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per seat than previous-generation aircraft, along with a 50% noise reduction.
The A320neo carries up to 194 passengers and has a maximum range of up to 3,400nm. The A321neo carries up to 244 passengers and has a maximum range of up to 4,000nm.
ACG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Century Corporation. As of June 30, 2026, it had approximately 500 owned, managed and committed aircraft leased to roughly 85 airlines in approximately 50 countries.
