Taipei – October 14, 2026 -- The 2026 Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) recorded more than 50,000 visits over three days, with attendees from 64 countries, before concluding on September 19.
Twelve government agencies co-organize three-pavilion expo
TIE ran under the theme "AI-Powered Innovation | Driving a Sustainable Future". It was co-organized by 12 government agencies and included three pavilions plus an Invention Competition Area. Exhibits covered energy, cybersecurity, healthcare and disaster prevention, with an emphasis on practical applications and industry adoption.
Innovation Economy Pavilion targets semiconductors and smart manufacturing
The Innovation Economy Pavilion showcased technologies in semiconductors, smart manufacturing, net-zero sustainability and precision health, along with emerging cross-sector applications. It focused on how AI can address industry needs.
The Future Tech Pavilion (FUTEX) ran under the banner "Powering Industry Transformation with Taiwan's Research Excellence" and aimed to move advanced research closer to commercial use. The Smart Sustainability Pavilion, themed "Smart Resilience for a Sustainable Future", presented technologies addressing food security, national defense and sustainable development.
Patent offices and research bodies from five countries attend
Representatives of patent offices, research institutions and industry associations from the United States, Mexico, Spain, Slovakia and Japan attended. Technology showcases, networking and matchmaking sessions gave Taiwanese innovators access to international industry partners.
Taiwan Technology Marketplace extends exhibitor reach after the show
Technologies featured at the expo will continue to be promoted through the Taiwan Technology Marketplace (TWTM). Businesses and research organizations can use the platform to identify potential partners and pursue further cooperation.
