124 Trainees Join RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt Workforce

Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale – September 10, 2026 -- RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt has enrolled 124 new trainees across nine healthcare and administrative professions, reinforcing staffing for a facility that treats more than 160,000 patients annually with roughly 3,000 employees.

Nursing intake dominates the 2024 cohort with 52 new trainees

The largest group consists of 25 aspiring nursing specialists and 27 nursing care assistants. Occupational therapy and physiotherapy each add 22 trainees, while ten students begin training as surgical technology assistants and four as anesthesia technology assistants.

Specialized medical and administrative tracks round out the program

Five trainees are entering healthcare management administration roles, five as medical assistants, and four as radiology medical technologists. Training periods range from one to three years depending on the profession, combining classroom instruction with clinical practice.

Campus Akademie schools anchor nursing and therapy education

Vocational schools for nursing, nursing assistance, occupational therapy and physiotherapy operate under the Campus Akademie umbrella at the site. Juliane Domke, Managing Director of RHÖN-KLINIKUM Campus Bad Neustadt, welcomed the new trainees, describing the start of their training as the beginning of a new professional chapter.

Campus positions itself as a long-term career pipeline for regional healthcare

The Bad Neustadt site is one of five locations operated by RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, integrating outpatient and inpatient care with specialties including cardiology, orthopedic surgery and neurology. Graduates are offered pathways into further qualification and specialization following completion of their training.
