Yoodli Hires Ex-KPMG Learning Chief Mike Mather as Advisor

Seattle – October 19, 2026 -- Yoodli, an AI platform for human skills, has appointed Mike Mather, KPMG US's Chief Learning Officer from 2023 to September 2026, as Chief Learning Advisor to shape how its customers prepare workforces for AI.

Mather will work directly with Yoodli customers and its product team. His remit includes advising clients on readiness programs that move beyond course completions to measurable behavior change.

Mather brings CLO perspective into Yoodli's product roadmap

Mather will feed the learning chief's view into the roadmap as Yoodli builds out its platform. The platform pairs AI-powered practice with coaching and measurement, so skills are applied on the job rather than only learned.

Yoodli says its customers already include Google, Databricks, FranklinCovey, Korn Ferry and Snowflake. They use it for AI tool training, manager coaching and go-to-market enablement.

KPMG tenure included a 2023 LearningElite title

In 2023, KPMG was named Chief Learning Officer magazine's LearningElite Organization of the Year. Before becoming CLO, Mather led KPMG's Workforce Transformation and Development practice.

He also spent more than two decades as a partner at EY, IBM and PwC, advising Fortune 100 organizations on HR and learning transformation. He is a Chartered Accountant (Canada) and holds an MBA.

Yoodli CEO targets proof of readiness over training volume

Varun Puri, co-founder and CEO of Yoodli, said learning leaders need proof that their people are ready, not another place to send them. He said Mather knows what CLOs are measured on and will help customers reach outcomes faster.

Mather said the hardest part of learning and development has been the gap between training and the moment someone has to perform. He said Yoodli closes that gap.
