YMX Logistics Hires Michael Lucas as COO to Run National Yard Network

Henderson, Nevada – October 12, 2026 -- YMX Logistics has appointed Michael Lucas as Chief Operating Officer, giving him responsibility for operational strategy and execution across the company's coast-to-coast yard logistics network.

Lucas brings leadership experience from four North American brands

Lucas has held supply chain and operations leadership roles at SC Johnson, The Kraft Heinz Company, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) and Uline. His background covers distribution, warehousing, fleet operations, customer service and process improvement, including large-scale transformation programs.

YMX CEO ties the hire to operations-technology integration

CEO Matt Yearling said the logistics industry is entering a period of significant transformation. In his view, the winners will be companies that integrate day-to-day operations with the right technologies to deliver reliable business outcomes. Yearling said Lucas has led complex supply chain organizations through comparable operational shifts and that this experience will matter as YMX scales.

Lucas targets the gap between transportation and warehousing

Lucas said some of the biggest opportunities to improve supply chain performance sit "in the space between transportation and warehousing." He expects the yard to play an increasingly strategic role in supply chain execution.

YMX said the yard is becoming one of the most strategically important operational environments in the supply chain. In his new role, Lucas will focus on helping enterprise shippers gain efficiency, visibility and operational resilience, and on safer operations. YMX described the appointment as part of its effort to maintain category leadership in integrated yard logistics.
