Henderson, Nevada – October 12, 2026 -- YMX Logistics CEO Matt Yearling and Vice President of Fleet Strategy and Loss Prevention Adam Buttgenbach have been named finalists for Heavy Duty Trucking's 2026 Truck Fleet Innovator award, placing two of the nine finalists at the integrated yard logistics provider.
Nine finalists span fleet sizes and business models
Yearling and Buttgenbach join seven other finalists representing a range of fleet sizes, business models and industry roles. The award honors supply chain professionals who are challenging conventional thinking and driving change across trucking and logistics.
Yearling cited for integrating AI, data and electric yard trucks
Yearling was recognized for advancing yard operations for enterprise shippers by combining data, artificial intelligence, electric yard trucks and specialized logistics services. The work also helps prepare the industry for increasingly autonomous operations.
He said the next generation of enterprise yard operations is being shaped by the convergence of technology and operations, with the goal of making yards safer, more efficient and more sustainable for customers.
Buttgenbach selected for electrification work at a major private fleet
Buttgenbach was named a finalist before joining YMX, based on his work advancing fleet electrification and the adoption of emerging technologies for one of North America's largest private fleets. He argues that successful adoption of electrification and automation requires the right equipment, infrastructure and a closed-loop process for measuring results and continuously improving performance.
At YMX, he will apply that experience to help customers improve performance, strengthen safety and eliminate waste.
