Watercrest Ranks No. 23 on Fortune's 2026 Aging Services Workplaces

VERO BEACH – October 21, 2026 -- Watercrest Senior Living Group, founded in 2012, ranks No. 23 on the 2026 Fortune Top 25 Best Large Workplaces in Aging Services: Senior Housing and Care. The company says it is the highest-ranked senior living organization founded in the past two decades on the list.

Ranking draws on survey feedback from more than 217,000 U.S. employees

Fortune compiled the list with Great Place To Work®. The ranking rests on employee survey responses from more than 217,000 U.S. workers in aging services. It rewards organizations where staff report feeling valued, respected and supported.

Watercrest holds nine consecutive years of Great Place to Work certification

The Fortune placement adds to a nine-year run of Great Place to Work certification. Marc Vorkapich, principal and CEO, said serving associates is fundamental to serving residents. He made the point as the company marks 14 years since its founding.

Culture program and service principles anchor the workforce strategy

Watercrest runs a "We Are Watercrest" movement that recognizes individual associate contributions. It encourages team members to apply the company's core values in daily interactions.

Vorkapich and Joan Williams, CFO, built the company around a three-part mission: To Welcome, To Care, To Serve. Six service principles back the mission:

  • serving a purpose greater than oneself
  • acting as trusted advisors
  • honoring mothers and fathers
  • raising people up
  • creating meaningful and memorable experiences
  • committing to excellence as the standard

Watercrest develops and operates assisted living and memory care communities.
