Mirabel – October 29, 2026 -- Volatus Aerospace Inc. (TSX: FLT) has delivered the full uncrewed aircraft fleet under the initial C$4.5 million tranche of its ISR training system contract with a NATO partner, and the customer has started exercising the second-tranche option.
NATO customer begins exercising second-tranche option on a contract worth up to C$9 million
The contract was announced on December 15, 2025, and carries a potential aggregate value of up to C$9 million. Volatus has received additional orders under the agreement. The unexercised balance stays available at the customer's option through the end of 2027.
Delivery closes out shipment delayed by supply-chain disruptions
The shipment completes the initial fleet delivery following supply-chain disruptions that Volatus previously disclosed in its quarterly reporting. The source gives no further detail on the length or cause of the delay.
Training aircraft target operators with limited UAS experience
The fleet covers foundational drone flight, navigation and basic intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) skills. The aircraft are commercially derived and built for repeated use by new operators in controlled training environments. Operators are expected to progress afterward to more advanced operational platforms.
The package includes integrated control interfaces, technical and operational documentation, instructor familiarization, warranty coverage and lifecycle support. The systems have automated safety functions. Specific configurations remain confidential under the agreement.
Volatus CEO ties order flow to allied demand for trained operators
CEO Glen Lynch said the additional orders show continued customer commitment to the program. He added that "training is foundational to the effective adoption of uncrewed systems." The company expects the delivery to support potential follow-on orders and wider opportunities across allied markets.
