UTF Pays Entire August Distribution From Capital Gains

SHERIDAN, WYOMING -- August 28, 2026 -- Cohen & Steers Infrastructure Fund, Inc. (NYSE: UTF) will pay shareholders a monthly distribution of $0.1650 per share on August 31, 2026, funded entirely by net realized long-term capital gains, according to a Section 19(a) notice released by Cohen & Steers, Inc. on August 28. The New York-based fund reported zero contribution from net investment income, short-term gains, or return of capital for the August payment. Year-to-date through August 31, the fund has distributed $1.2900 per share, with $0.7259 (56.27%) sourced from long-term capital gains and $0.5641 (43.73%) from net investment income.

Long-Term Gains Fund the Entire August Payout

The August distribution marks a shift from the fund's year-to-date pattern, in which net investment income accounted for a substantial share of payments. For the current month, long-term capital gains covered 100% of the $0.1650 per-share distribution, while investment income, short-term gains, and return of capital each registered $0.0000. No portion of the fiscal year-to-date distributions has come from return of capital, according to the notice.

Fund's Total Return Outpaces Its Distribution Rate

UTF posted a year-to-date cumulative total return of 14.68% for the period January 1 through July 31, 2026, based on net asset value, against a cumulative distribution rate of 4.58% over the same window. Over the five years ending July 31, 2026, the fund's average annual total return reached 8.87%, compared with a current annualized distribution rate of 7.03%. In both the year-to-date and five-year windows, NAV total returns exceeded the distribution rates paid to shareholders.

Managed Distribution Policy Dates to 2015

Cohen & Steers Infrastructure Fund adopted its managed distribution policy in March 2015 under exemptive relief from the Securities and Exchange Commission, fixing a set monthly per-share distribution rate rather than varying payouts with quarterly income. The fund's board retains authority to amend, suspend or terminate the policy at any time, an action the notice states could affect the market price of fund shares. Distributions may draw on net investment income, short- and long-term capital gains, or return of capital, with actual composition depending on portfolio performance through the remainder of the fiscal year.

Final Tax Treatment Awaits Form 1099-DIV

Cohen & Steers cautioned that the sourcing percentages published in the notice are estimates that may change once the fund's final tax characteristics are determined after the 2026 calendar year closes. Shareholders will receive a Form 1099-DIV detailing the actual tax treatment of distributions and should not rely on the notice for tax filing purposes. The fund also noted that a portion of its portfolio consists of MLP investments, whose distributions carry their own mix of investment income and return-of-capital components that factor into the fund's overall totals.
