USAP directs Cares Week toward food insecurity, homelessness and education

The annual week of service is part of the USAP Cares program, which focuses company resources and personnel on three areas: health and well-being, education and civic enrichment. Activities run year-round, with extra emphasis during Cares Week. This year's teams prepared meals, assembled care kits and supported children, families and underserved populations.

Texas and Nevada teams deliver the largest volumes of food and supplies

Members of the Executive Leadership Team spent time with young residents at Covenant House Texas and backed the organization with a $15,000 donation. In Central Texas, team members and their families packed more than 22,000 pounds of food at the Central Texas Food Bank. Volunteers in Nevada assembled 2,500 hygiene kits for local charitable organizations.

In South Texas, a virtual food drive raised more than $5,000 for the San Antonio Food Bank, providing 50,000 pounds of food.

Volunteers extend support to foster children, pediatric patients and trafficking survivors

Other projects included birthday boxes for children in foster care and gifts for pediatric patients. Teams also served families at Give Kids The World Village in Florida. In Tennessee, volunteers built chairs for a new home operated by Thistle Farms for women recovering from human trafficking and addiction.

Dr. John Fan, a physician partner at USAP Florida, called the week "a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together," extending USAP's impact beyond clinical care.
