Boston – October 15, 2026 -- The United States Air Force has extended its use of PTC's Servigistics service supply chain optimization solution under its Enterprise Supply Chain Analysis, Planning, and Execution (ESCAPE) program, PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) announced. The renewal continues a relationship that is nearly a decade old and centers on modernizing the Air Force service supply chain and improving aircraft and system readiness.
Air Force first selected Servigistics in 2017 for global service parts planning
The Air Force chose Servigistics in 2017 to transform service parts planning across its global supply chain. Its use has since expanded to cover more sophisticated planning and optimization requirements, consolidate legacy systems, and modernize the supply chain planning environment.
Servigistics now helps the Air Force align inventory and supply decisions with aircraft and system availability objectives. It combines advanced forecasting, multi-echelon optimization, supply planning, machine learning, and AI, with the aim of making critical parts available where and when they are needed.
Renewal targets AI and exception-based management for planners
PTC said the renewal opens the next phase of the program, with continued AI development and exception-based management. Under this model, planners can identify emerging issues, evaluate alternatives, and automate routine workflows. Expert attention is then reserved for decisions that require intervention.
Abigail Strobell, Deputy Chief, U.S. Air Force, said readiness depends on anticipating requirements and making effective supply chain decisions in an increasingly complex operational environment. She said continued use of Servigistics builds on progress in modernizing service parts planning and strengthens the supply chain capabilities behind aircraft availability.
PTC ties the contract to its Intelligent Product Lifecycle strategy
PTC said Servigistics and the rest of its portfolio support its Intelligent Product Lifecycle vision. That vision has manufacturers build a modern product data foundation, extend the data across the enterprise, and unlock AI-powered transformation. According to PTC, broader use of product data lets companies bring higher-quality products to market faster, manage complexity at scale, and support new digital business models.
The announcement did not disclose the contract value or the length of the extension.
