BERTHOUD, Colo. – October 23, 2026 -- Ursa Major has promoted Jason Meredith to President, giving him responsibility for the company's full profit and loss as it scales production and prepares to become publicly traded.
Meredith moves from Solid Missile Systems to lead business execution company-wide
Meredith most recently served as President of Solid Missile Systems, where he led program execution and engineering across Ursa Major's growing solid rocket motor portfolio. He joined the company in 2026 to run that unit and expand its solid rocket motor capabilities. In the new role, he will lead business execution across all of Ursa Major.
Production ramp spans missiles, rocket motors and space mobility
The promotion comes as Ursa Major scales production across its long-range and hypersonics missiles, solid rocket motors and space mobility businesses. CEO Chris Spagnoletti said Meredith "understands our technology, our customers and what it takes to execute at scale."
Meredith said his focus will be combining the company's technology, growing demand and scalable manufacturing approach to move faster and increase production.
Two decades of propulsion experience come from ATK, Northrop Grumman and Pratt & Whitney
Meredith brings more than 20 years of aerospace, defense and solid propulsion experience. He held senior engineering, program and business leadership roles at ATK, Orbital ATK, Northrop Grumman and Pratt & Whitney.
