Thryv Licenses Second SGK1 Scaffold, Eyes Parkinson's and Alzheimer's

San Francisco – September 08, 2026 -- Thryv Therapeutics Inc. has signed an exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing license for a new SGK1 inhibitor chemical series, opening a path toward Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease treatments alongside its existing cardiac drug programs. The agreement with Spain's Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and Fundación de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (FUAM) became effective July 1, 2026, granting Thryv rights across all fields of use and territories, with sublicensing rights included.

Quantinuum, Aramco Sign MOU to Explore Quantum Computing for Energy

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – September 08, 2026 -- Quantinuum and Aramco have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore industrial applications of quantum computing across the energy sector, the companies announced.

Aramco and Quantinuum plan technical onboarding to identify energy-sector challenges suited to quantum computing

Under the MOU, the two companies intend to undertake preliminary technical onboarding and knowledge exchange activities. They will identify Aramco's operational and scientific challenges that may be suitable for quantum computing research, with emphasis on solving complex problems tied to energy and digital transformation.
