ATLANT 3D, UC Berkeley Sign MOU to Build A-HUB California

Copenhagen – September 22, 2026 -- ATLANT 3D and the University of California, Berkeley have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore A-HUB California, a facility pairing atomic-scale manufacturing with AI-driven materials research.

ATLANT 3D brings its DALP technology to Berkeley's research ecosystem

The partnership combines ATLANT 3D's programmable atomic-scale manufacturing platform, built on its Direct Atomic Layer Processing (DALP®) technology and NANOFABRICATOR® platform, with UC Berkeley's research infrastructure. The proposed A-HUB California follows the model of ATLANT 3D's existing Copenhagen A-HUB, an autonomous materials foundry that combines AI, atomic-scale manufacturing, and automated testing in a closed loop to discover, validate, and scale advanced materials.

WSSA-APMS Leadership Overlap Drives Aquatic Weed Research Gains

IBM, Lockheed Martin Bring First Quantum System Two to Switzerland

ZURICH – September 15, 2026 -- IBM and Lockheed Martin have established a quantum innovation hub at ETH Zurich under an offset agreement with armasuisse, Switzerland's Federal Office for Defence Procurement, bringing the country its first IBM Quantum System Two.

Swiss National Supercomputing Centre to host Switzerland's first Quantum System Two by end of 2026

The system will be installed at the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) in Lugano and powered by IBM's most advanced processor, the Quantum Nighthawk. IBM will operate the machine, while ETH Zurich provides expertise, resources and technologies to Swiss industries, startups and academia, including direct access to the hardware.
