TCL CSOT Debuts IJP OLED Lineup, Cites $156 Billion Display Market by 2030

Shanghai -- September 01, 2026 -- TCL CSOT opened its exhibition at the Display Innovation China Expo 2026 in Shanghai on Aug. 31, presenting a lineup of OLED, Micro LED and automotive display technologies. The company said its inkjet-printed (IJP) OLED technology has already reached mass production in the professional display sector and is now being validated with device brands for consumer laptops and monitors. Executives cited industry data projecting the global display market to grow from $123 billion in 2022 to $156 billion by 2030.

TCL CSOT Moves IJP OLED From Professional Screens Toward Consumer Laptops

Ming-Jong Jou, Chief of Technology Planning Center at TCL CSOT's R&D Platform, said IJP OLED offers higher material utilization, lower equipment investment and reduced carbon emissions compared with alternative production methods, making it a candidate for large-scale adoption in medium-sized OLED panels. Jou said the company is currently working with several device brands to validate consumer IJP OLED products for laptops and monitors, following sustained investment that has already produced mass-market output in the professional display segment. TCL CSOT said it will continue expanding its IJP OLED product portfolio while improving production yields and reliability ahead of broader commercialization.

Global Display Market Value Seen Rising to $156 Billion by 2030

Jou cited projections showing the global display industry's market value climbing from $123 billion in 2022 to $156 billion in 2030. Bin Zhao, Vice President of TCL CSOT and General Manager of its R&D Platform, said the company is applying its proprietary AI model, X-Intelligence, to display research and development under its APEX technology brand, which spans display experience, visual health, product sustainability and future form factors. Zhao said TCL CSOT is leading the next wave of display innovation.

28-Inch Foldable Monitor and 420-PPI Mobile Panel Headline OLED Showcase

TCL CSOT displayed what it called the world's first foldable and portable IJP OLED monitor display, a 28-inch panel that folds down to 16 inches for portability comparable to a laptop. A separate 27-inch IJP OLED monitor uses an Oxide backplane with internal compensation circuitry to improve display uniformity in real time. A 6.9-inch mobile display built on the company's Super Pixel subpixel multiplication technology reached 420 pixels per inch at a resolution of 2608 by 1200. A 13.2-inch tablet panel cut EL power consumption by 30% through high-transmittance color filter materials, while an 18-inch Tandem LTPO foldable OLED notebook display was described as the world's largest panel of its kind, built for adaptive refresh rates and color accuracy. A separate 6.9-inch foldable mobile display eliminated bezels through what the company called an industry-first surface structure.

130-Inch LCD Panel and Automotive Triple-Screen Setup Extend Product Range

TCL CSOT showed a 130-inch HVA Ultra TV display with a 29.8 mm profile, which it described as the world's largest LCD panel of its type. A 0.28-inch single-chip multi-color silicon-based Micro LED display reached brightness above 500,000 nits, targeted at AR and VR near-eye applications. For vehicles, the company presented a triple-screen automotive display combining 12.3-inch, 15.6-inch and 12.3-inch panels designed to improve visibility of surrounding conditions and reduce driver distraction.
