Synteq Launches Managed Apps, Serverless Functions on Own Network

Wilmington – October 20, 2026 -- Synteq has launched Apps and Serverless Functions, two managed products that run developer code on its own hardware and network in Dallas and Chicago, backed by a 99.99% uptime SLA. The release is the first step in the company's expansion into developer tools and platform services.

Every app and function invocation runs in its own Firecracker microVM

Apps run web services, APIs, and workers directly from source. Users point Synteq at a GitHub repository, upload code directly, or run one CLI command. The platform detects the language, builds the image, and serves the app over HTTPS on a Synteq subdomain or custom domain. Dockerfile builds are supported.

Each app gets dedicated CPU, memory, and network. Deployments use readiness checks and zero-downtime rolling updates, with one-command rollback. Autoscaling is budget-bound, so apps scale with demand only up to a spending limit the customer sets.

Serverless Functions run individual handlers on demand, with each invocation isolated. They support Node.js and Python runtimes, trigger via HTTP or cron, and deploy from a web editor, the CLI, or GitHub.

Synteq co-locates the application layer with its VPS, GPU, and storage products

Apps and Functions share hardware and network with Synteq's VPS, GPU servers, and block storage. Customers can keep application code in the same location as the infrastructure it depends on. Management runs through the same API, CLI, and Synteq Cloud control plane used for existing products.

CEO Eric Yingling said customers had asked for a broader product ecosystem to "migrate their full workloads away from other providers." Ben Haupt, Director of Growth & Product, said scheduled jobs, webhooks, and automation can now run next to customers' existing Synteq servers.

Synteq plans VPCs, load balancers, and firewalls in the coming months

The roadmap adds Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), floating IPs, load balancers, and cloud firewalls. VPC support will let Apps and Functions connect privately to customers' existing Synteq servers and storage. Apps will also gain SSO and password protection for preview environments.
