Sungrow Launches MGTL Hybrid Inverters Across Emerging Solar Markets

Da Nang – September 09, 2026 -- Sungrow has launched its next-generation MGTL Series three-phase hybrid inverters across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, targeting homes and businesses seeking integrated solar-plus-storage systems.

New series spans 10 kW to 25 kW for residential and commercial use

The MGTL Series combines solar generation and energy storage into a single system, supporting a power range of 10 kW to 25 kW. Sungrow positions the launch as a tool to help users maximize solar utilization, strengthen backup resilience, and simplify installation across multiple regions.

PID Zero technology and 250% PV over-sizing boost energy yields

The inverters feature Sungrow's PID Zero technology, an ESS PID solution designed to protect PV modules and sustain long-term performance. With PV input current up to 20A per string and a wide MPPT voltage range, the series supports up to 250% PV over-sizing, enabling compatibility with high-current modules and higher overall energy conversion efficiency.

Zero-millisecond switching enables uninterrupted backup power

The MGTL Series delivers 0 ms switching between grid-tied and off-grid modes, a feature Sungrow says ensures uninterrupted power during outages. The system supports up to 200% three-phase unbalanced output, a maximum charge/discharge current of 440A, and 2.0x AC overload capacity for 10 seconds, allowing it to handle heavy household and commercial loads.

Fanless design cuts noise to 35 dB(A) on select models

To simplify installation and improve user experience, the MGTL Series operates fanless, reaching noise levels as low as 35 dB(A) on the MG10/12/15TL models. Selected units include a 4.3-inch touchscreen for local monitoring, alongside an integrated multi-function port for connecting diesel generators and smart loads, and a bus-bar terminal design for faster battery deployment.

AFCI 3.0R arc-fault detection covers cable runs up to 200 meters

Safety features include standard AFCI 3.0R arc-fault detection with a 20A detection current, covering cable runs up to 200 meters to reduce electrical fire risk on long rooftop installations. The series also incorporates a patented explosion-proof design with dual pressure relief, an IP66 protection rating, and C5 anti-corrosion resistance for operation in harsh environments.

Open battery ecosystem links to Sungrow's MBL120, MBL160 and third-party systems

The MGTL Series connects with Sungrow's MBL120 and MBL160 battery series as well as an expanding range of third-party battery solutions. Integration with the iSolarCloud platform gives users and installers access to real-time system data and customizable energy management tools.
