BOSTON – October 29, 2026 -- Stockpress, a Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform for marketing, brand and creative teams, has launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects customer content libraries to AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. The server is available now.
MCP server lets AI tools work with assets without migrating files
MCP is an open standard for connecting AI applications with external systems. Compatible AI tools can access and act on content already stored in a Stockpress workspace, so customers do not have to move files to another platform. The server respects existing workspace permissions.
Teams can search, organize and audit libraries in natural language
Stockpress lists five use cases for the server:
- Searching images, videos, documents and brand files by description, tag, metadata and filter.
- Asking AI to review images, recommend campaign assets, compare logo versions or flag content for reuse.
- Creating Collections and Smart Collections that update automatically as matching content is added.
- Identifying untagged files, reviewing metadata and finding organizational gaps.
- Generating asset inventories, campaign recommendations and reports from stored content.
Launch extends existing AI tagging, facial recognition and transcription features
The server builds on Stockpress AI features that include automatic tagging, facial recognition, text extraction and video transcription. The company says it is making existing AI tools more capable rather than building a separate AI workspace.
CEO and co-founder Jessica Storry said customers already work in AI tools daily but their best content has been "a few steps (and downloads!) away." She added that "AI is only as useful as what it can see."
CRO Ian Parkes described the move as an evolution of DAM from a place to store and manage content into a connected foundation for how people, platforms and AI work with it.
