SHERIDAN, WYOMING – July 21, 2025 – Spanish packaging printers have made significant investments in HEIDELBERG's advanced printing technology, reinforcing the company's growth strategy in the Iberian market and underscoring its leading role in high-performance, sustainable packaging solutions.
The adoption of HEIDELBERG’s Speedmaster technology by multiple Spanish packaging companies highlights a collective focus on operational excellence, sustainability, and the premium packaging segment — areas where HEIDELBERG positions itself as a key partner for long-term growth.
Gráficas Beyco: Commitment to Efficiency and Circular Economy
Gráficas Beyco, a family-run business based in Hospitalet Llobregat, continues its tradition of excellence by focusing on efficiency and environmental responsibility. Managed by Ana and Mari Carmen Cerdá, the company serves over 800 customers across industries such as food, cosmetics, and automotive.
"We take a circular economy into account wherever possible, use environmentally friendly raw materials and ensure optimal waste disposal," stated the Managing Director. The company’s Speedmaster XL 105 and XL 106 presses play a central role in maximizing resource efficiency. "Working with modern technology is a key factor in ensuring that we remain competitive and can hold our own in the market. We will only choose the best options for our future projects and investments."
Cideyeg Packaging: Automation and Solar Power Drive Premium Packaging
Cideyeg Packaging, located in Terrassa, has advanced its zero-defect production goals by operating five Speedmaster presses, supported by a photovoltaic system of 1,000 rooftop modules. Its latest investment — a Speedmaster XL 106 Peak Performance press — entered production a few months ago, further enhancing automation and energy efficiency.
Grupo la Plana: Rapid Ramp-Up for Maximum Output
At Grupo la Plana’s Crevillente site, a new six-color Speedmaster XL 106 hybrid press with coating unit quickly achieved maximum productivity. Known for its customer-centric approach, the family-owned group emphasized employee training, conducting sessions at both HEIDELBERG's Wiesloch-Walldorf center and on-site post-installation.
Gráficas Lersi: Strategic Growth Fueled by Technology
Gráficas Lersi, a century-old printer near Valencia, expanded its capacity by 60% two years ago as part of a four-year growth plan targeting €20–25 million in additional turnover. The investment in a Speedmaster CX 104 eleven-color press and a Diana Easy 115 folder gluer has optimized production for customers in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics sectors.
"We don't just want to participate in the market, we want to be among the winners. That's why it's important for us to work with a winning team," said César Romero, Company Manager.
Litografia J. López: Innovating Tradition in Luxury Packaging
Litografia J. López, a luxury packaging specialist with over a century of history, strengthened its market position with a new Speedmaster XL 106. The press complements an existing system, increasing productivity and enhancing energy efficiency. Managing Director Juan Antonio Fatjó emphasized that investing in state-of-the-art equipment not only boosts output but also attracts top talent — a critical factor in the competitive packaging sector.
Salinas Packaging Group: Sustainability Embedded in High-End Production
Salinas Packaging Group completed its €10 million "Horizons 2024" investment program last year, installing a customized, energy-efficient Speedmaster XL 106-8+LYY-1+L and a Suprasetter 106 CtP platesetter.
"When we decided on technology from HEIDELBERG, we didn't just look at performance data and cost-effectiveness," said founder and CEO Antonio Martínez. "Energy efficiency, user-friendliness and how sustainably we could produce were just as important." The equipment’s standby mode reduces annual energy consumption by up to 3,600 kWh — more than the average household usage — and both systems are certified CO₂-neutral.
Gráficas Zokoa: A Legacy of Ecological Commitment
Gráficas Zokoa, a specialist in food packaging founded in 1971, expanded its capabilities with a new Speedmaster XL 106 and a Promatrix CSB die-cutter. "HEIDELBERG and we are pursuing the same strategy when it comes to ecological issues," said Eduardo Beroiz, head of design and prepress. The investment reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to combining quality production with environmental responsibility.
