Sol de Janeiro Signs NWSL Stars Rodman, Rudd as Ambassadors

NEW YORK – September 18, 2026 -- Sol de Janeiro has named Washington Spirit and U.S. Women's National Team players Trinity Rodman and Tara Rudd as brand ambassadors, expanding a multi-year partnership that already made the Brazilian-inspired beauty company the NWSL club's Official Body Care and Celebration Partner.

Two Washington Spirit stars join the beauty brand's ambassador roster

Rodman and Rudd have been teammates since being drafted first-round by the Washington Spirit in 2021, a season in which the club won the NWSL Championship and Rodman earned NWSL Rookie of the Year. Rodman has since made 57 appearances for the U.S. Women's National Team, been a two-time Ballon d'Or Feminin finalist, a 2024 NWSL MVP finalist, and was named to TIME100 Most Influential People in Sports and Forbes 30 Under 30 Sports. Rudd, nicknamed the 'Iron Woman' after playing every minute of every league match in 2024, was named NWSL Defender of the Year in 2025 and to the NWSL Best XI First Team, with 12 caps and three assists for the national team.

New Intense Perfume Mist anchors the campaign debut

The partnership will launch with Sol de Janeiro's new Intense Perfume Mist, described as a richer, bolder fragrance offering up to 10 hours of scent based on a blinded quantitative sensory study. The product sits alongside the brand's existing portfolio, including the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and Cheirosa fragrance line, both of which the athletes will represent.

CEO frames the deal as part of a broader push into women's sports
