New York – – October 11, 2026 -- SiriusXM (NASDAQ: SIRI) has promoted 26-year company veteran Sean Gibbons to Senior Vice President and Chief Product and Technology Officer, placing him on its Executive Leadership Team and reporting to CEO Jennifer Witz.
Gibbons takes control of product, engineering, partnerships and ad tech across SiriusXM and Pandora
His remit covers product strategy and development, technology platforms and engineering, automotive and streaming distribution partnerships, and advertising technology. The role spans both SiriusXM and Pandora.
Witz credited Gibbons with shaping the development and rollout of SiriusXM with 360L and said he is the right person to "accelerate innovation" and improve the customer experience.
Four priorities set the agenda: 360L, technology roadmap, AI and participatory experiences
Gibbons is to advance SiriusXM with 360L and the next generation of in-car experiences. He will also shape the long-term technology roadmap across the company's satellite, broadcast and streaming platforms.
On AI, he will focus on personalization, discovery and customer service. He will also work on more dynamic, connected and participatory experiences across in-vehicle and streaming platforms.
Gibbons joined Sirius in 2000 and built its first product and streaming organizations
Gibbons joined before the company's first satellite launch. He has held roles in product management, engineering, automotive, streaming, content technology and strategic partnerships. He established SiriusXM's first formal Product Management organization, then founded and led its first Streaming organization, extending the service across mobile, web and connected-home platforms.
Most recently he ran the Automotive organization, which combines product, user experience, engineering and automaker partnerships. That work covered the shift toward connected, software-defined vehicle experiences and hybrid satellite-and-IP services.
