Salt survey finds fewer than one in five enterprises can automatically stop a rogue AI agent
Salt cited its State of Agentic AI and API Security 2H 2026 report, released this month. The survey covered more than 380 security and technology professionals. Nearly half of respondents confirmed or suspected that an AI agent took an unauthorized action in the past year. Fewer than one in five said their organization can automatically stop a misbehaving agent.
Salt CEO Roey Eliyahu said the data shows the governance gap is "not theoretical" and that most organizations cannot halt agents in time.
Agentic Security Platform targets agents, MCP servers and APIs across the lifecycle
The Salt Security Agentic Security Platform discovers agents, MCP servers and APIs operating in an environment. It governs the connections and permissions between them, monitors agent behavior at runtime and eliminates vulnerabilities before they reach production.
Judges cite threat foresight, cost-effectiveness and unexpected innovation
Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine, said Salt met three judging criteria: understanding tomorrow's threats today, offering a cost-effective solution and innovating in unexpected ways. The judging panel includes Ron Gula of Gula Tech Adventures, Katie Gray of In-Q-Tel and Robert R. Ackerman Jr. of DataTribe.
