Houston – September 13, 2026 -- Sallyport, a Houston-based investment firm, has launched Truss Infrastructure Services, a new platform built to acquire and strengthen essential service businesses supporting critical infrastructure operators.
Sallyport targets rising compliance and modernization demand across aging infrastructure
Kyle Bethancourt, Managing Partner of Sallyport, said aging infrastructure, tightening compliance requirements and the need to safely modernize critical assets are driving demand for specialized service providers with deep industry expertise. Truss is assembling companies that address operational and asset-management challenges by embedding purpose-built technology directly into service delivery.
Louis Krannich takes CEO role after scaling ROC and Summit Midstream
Louis Krannich will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Truss. He began his career at El Paso Corporation and PG&E before leading Sallyport-backed Remote Operations Center (ROC), which he grew into the largest third-party control center in the United States. Following EverLine's 2019 acquisition of ROC, Krannich helped scale the combined business through acquisitions, new market entry and technology deployment. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Summit Midstream. Ryan Howard, Managing Partner of Sallyport, said the firm has partnered with Krannich before and was quick to do so again.
Submar becomes first company under the Truss platform
Submar, a Louisiana-based provider of erosion remediation and maintenance services for pipeline infrastructure, joined Truss earlier this summer as its first portfolio company. Submar delivers a turnkey approach spanning site assessment, engineering, design, permitting and installation of engineered erosion control systems. Joseph Fournet, President of Submar, said Sallyport and Truss took time to understand the company's business, people and customers before determining where to support growth.
Truss structure aims to combine domain expertise with shared technology and commercial reach
Krannich said each business within Truss will build on its own strengths while gaining access to broader capabilities, knowledge and resources, rather than being standardized across the portfolio. The platform is headquartered in Houston, Texas, alongside Sallyport, which was founded in 2023.
