HONG KONG – November 01, 2026 -- RD Technologies is building stablecoin-backed settlement routes between Ghana and Asia with Stanbic Bank Ghana and Transika, and will support RDUSD, a US dollar stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank N.A., as a new settlement option in its ecosystem.
Stanbic Bank Ghana will explore a bank-led stablecoin settlement solution
The two companies will assess a cross-border trade settlement solution supported by stablecoin technology. The initial focus is legitimate business-to-business payments from Ghanaian companies to suppliers in Asia.
Technical validation and any controlled pilot depend on regulatory no-objection. Darwin Mireku, Head of Strategy Enablement at Stanbic Bank Ghana, said customer needs, compliance and risk management will guide the design and testing of the solution.
Transika will combine local payment capabilities with RD's settlement infrastructure
Ghana-based digital asset infrastructure provider Transika is working with RD Technologies on a settlement model for Ghana-Asia business trade payments. The model pairs Transika's local payment capabilities with RD's cross-border settlement infrastructure. The partners will also jointly assess whether stablecoins suit the model.
Any pilot or live transactions remain subject to regulatory approvals and operating arrangements between the parties.
Anchorage Digital Bank will issue RDUSD under the US GENIUS Act framework
RDUSD is pegged 1:1 to the US dollar and subject to third-party audits. It is designed to comply with the US GENIUS Act. Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. is described in the release as America's first federally regulated digital asset bank.
Anchorage CEO and Co-Founder Nathan McCauley called stablecoins "the new settlement layer for global business." Anchorage will handle issuance, reserves and custody, while RD focuses on customers and markets.
HashKey On-Chain will host RDUSD on HSK Chain
RDUSD will be deployed on HSK Chain as part of RD's institutional finance cooperation with HashKey On-Chain. The companies plan to explore stablecoin use in cross-border payments, global treasury management and real-world asset tokenization.
Rachel Qiu, Head of Business Development at HashKey Group and COO of HashKey On-Chain Business Group, described the deployment as the first step of the collaboration.
RD has raised more than $90 million from backers including HashKey and Solana Foundation
RD Technologies was an early participant admitted to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Stablecoins Issuer Sandbox. It has secured over $90 million in cumulative funding. Investors include HashKey Group, HongShan, ZA Global, Solana Foundation, Guotai Junan International, China Harbour and Aptos Labs.
RDUSD is not licensed by the HKMA and has not been approved or recognized by any Hong Kong regulatory authority. It is available only to Professional Investors under Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Ordinance. RD states the described collaborations are illustrative and do not constitute commercial commitments.
