Procare Solutions Acquires Child Care Platform Playground

Denver – September 17, 2026 -- Procare Solutions has acquired Playground, an all-in-one child care management platform serving more than 5,000 programs nationwide, expanding its footprint among the 40,000-plus centers it already serves.

Procare adds Playground's AI assistant Camber to its product suite

Playground's flagship tool, Camber, is described as the first AI assistant built specifically for child care operations. The platform also integrates marketing, enrollment, billing, subsidy management and payroll functions into a single system.

Roper Technologies-owned Procare extends 30-year presence with deal

Procare Solutions, a business unit of Roper Technologies (Nasdaq: ROP), has operated in child care management software for more than three decades. CEO Joe Gomes said the acquisition reflects continued investment in tools supporting center growth and reducing administrative workload for operators.

No immediate changes for existing customers of either platform

Gomes said customers currently using either Procare's or Playground's software will continue operating exactly as they do now, with the same products, teams and workflows and no action required following the acquisition.

Deal follows Procare's recent launch of AI enrollment tool RoomRunner

The Playground acquisition builds on Procare's prior rollout of RoomRunner, an AI-powered enrollment planning tool, marking a second recent move to expand its technology stack for early childhood education providers.

Playground was founded by Daniel Andrews, Josh Andrews and Sasha Reiss and is headquartered in New York. Andrews, who serves as Co-Founder & CEO, said the deal gives Playground access to Procare's national scale while preserving its product design and customer support focus.
