Charlotte – October 19, 2026 -- PrePass launched the first phase of PrePass Intelligence, a fleet analytics offering that draws on bypass, safety, toll and vehicle GPS data and is available at no additional cost to customers of its Bypass and Toll solutions.
The release targets a data-fragmentation problem. Fleets know when a bypass occurs or a toll is charged, but working out what those events mean for the business typically requires analyzing large volumes of data across separate systems.
PrePass Intelligence quantifies bypass value from actual fleet activity
Fleet-specific calculations show driver time, fuel and estimated operating costs saved based on actual bypass activity rather than industry averages. Fleets can also see where adding eligible vehicles, transponders or the PrePass mobile app could generate additional savings.
AI Toll Insights consolidates toll savings and disputes overcharges
Driven by AI Toll Insights, toll-rate savings, violation savings, dispute credits and volume discounts are consolidated into one view of toll program value. PrePass also identifies likely maximum-rate toll overcharges and disputes eligible transactions on the customer's behalf.
Correlated data flags transponder mismatches and suspected fraud
The system correlates bypass, toll and available GPS data to identify transponder mismatches, assignment issues and possible fraudulent or unauthorized activity. PrePass said it identified more than $1 million in potential unauthorized toll activity in a single month.
Patrick Gates, Senior Manager, Operations Equipment at Estes Express Lines, said fleet theft continues to evolve and toll transponders have become another target. He said the tool surfaces anomalies and suspicious toll activity that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Forecast CSA estimates ISS score impact before standard reporting
Forecast CSA estimates how points from recent inspection activity may affect a fleet's ISS score before those changes appear in standard reporting. By unifying inspection, violation and bypass insights, PrePass aims to help fleets identify patterns and act sooner across safety and operations.
Chas Wurster, Chief Technology Officer at PrePass, said that because the company operates across bypass, tolling and compliance, it sees operational signals that often sit in separate systems.
PrePass cites 1.2 billion bypasses and 584 million gallons of fuel saved since 1997
The new tools build on existing capabilities. Since 1997, PrePass has recorded more than 1.2 billion bypasses and an estimated $12.4 billion in operational savings. That includes 584 million gallons of fuel and 136 million driver hours, which the company equates to nearly two million workweeks.
The platform also surfaces more than $7 million in Express Lane spend monthly, giving fleets visibility into how premium route usage affects toll spend and routing decisions.
PrePass is showcasing the offering at the American Trucking Associations' Management Conference & Exhibition in Charlotte, North Carolina, October 19-20, 2026, at Booth 18013.
