Spain – October 22, 2026 -- PayCargo is continuing its partnership with Spain-based AREAS Foundation, whose 2026 programs include 110 active scholarships benefiting more than 1,000 individuals and two construction projects expected to affect over 35,000 people.
Scholarship program covers seven countries
The scholarships operate across India, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Gambia and Spain. They span early childhood, elementary, secondary and university education.
The program funds school fees, transportation, accommodation and other necessary expenses for children with good academic results but insufficient financial means.
Kenya dormitory is the first of two 2026 construction projects
Phase one in Kenya involves building a Rescue Dormitory for girls fleeing genital mutilation and child marriage, giving them a safe place to live while they study. This phase is expected to take one year. Phases two and three will aim to further improve education, safety and health in the rural community.
In Nigeria, the second project is a new facility for Holy Name School, which is in danger of collapse and cannot accommodate growing enrollment demand. Both projects kicked off earlier in 2026.
PayCargo plans deeper involvement in the partnership
Eduardo Del Riego, Global CEO of PayCargo, said the company looks forward to growing the partnership and "deepening PayCargo's involvement" in work with vulnerable communities.
Gabriel Novela del Rey, President of AREAS Foundation, said PayCargo's support allows the foundation to advance its projects and reach more people and organizations.
