Shenzhen, China – October 16, 2026 -- ONERugged, a brand of Emdoor Information (SZ:001314), has expanded its Vehicle PC (VPC) portfolio with rugged vehicle-mount computers aimed at precision agriculture and autonomous mining, citing a market where autonomous mining vehicles are moving from pilot programs to full-scale commercial deployment.
Five models span 8-inch and 10.1-inch displays
The VPC line covers the V80J, V80T, V10J, V10T and V12R, in 8-inch and 10.1-inch form factors. Each unit uses a high-performance CPU architecture for edge processing and offers CAN bus communication for integration with native vehicle systems. Connectivity options include aviation-grade or Deutsch connectors and CAN, RJ45, RS232, RS485, USB and GPIO interfaces.
The devices support Windows, Android and Linux, and are compatible with Mobile Device Management (MDM) for remote administration. Further features include multi-channel AHD video transmission, 4G communication with optional radio modules, wide-voltage power input and ACC ignition-triggered auto-start. Optional centimeter-level positioning is available.
The company states the systems are certified to IP65 and meet ISO 16750 shock and vibration resistance, with wide-temperature operation.
Farming tablet targets unmanned field operations
In agriculture, the smart farming tablet works as the hardware core of automated and assisted driving systems. With centimeter-level positioning, it integrates with autonomous steering so vehicles follow predetermined routes. Connected to seeders, fertilizer spreaders and crop sprayers, it executes planting, fertilization and pesticide application at prescribed rates and spacing.
ONERugged says agricultural enterprises using the tablets achieve unmanned field operations, with reduced manual labor and higher operational throughput. The source provides no quantified figures for these gains.
Mining tablet aggregates sensor and video data for autonomous trucks
The mining vehicle tablet collects data from infrared and laser sensors and supports driver-behavior monitoring and 360-degree surround-view systems. It enables automated alerting of abnormal driving behavior, local storage of real-time video and automated anomaly reporting to cloud infrastructure. Stitched 360-degree video supports pedestrian detection, obstacle recognition and distance measurement in low-visibility conditions.
The device also supports personnel coordination and dispatch, and integrates with new-energy and fully autonomous mining trucks. ONERugged positions it as a hardware foundation on which mining operators build their own management systems.
Cloudy Bay deploys V10J in New Zealand vineyard
Cloudy Bay, a premium winery in New Zealand, has integrated the V10J vehicle PC with high-precision GPS and a cloud-based management system. The winery reports automated spraying, real-time data tracking and precision farming. A vineyard operations manager said the V10J has made operations more precise and efficient, with real-time data giving full visibility.
