Notable Names Dr. Nicholas Desai Chief Medical Officer

San Mateo – September 17, 2026 -- Notable, a healthcare AI platform provider deployed at more than 12,000 sites of care, has appointed Dr. Nicholas Desai as Chief Medical Officer, tapping a former Houston Methodist executive to bridge enterprise technology and hospital operations.

Desai brings two decades of dual clinical and operations leadership from Houston Methodist

Desai joins Notable from Houston Methodist, where he held roles as system Chief Medical Information Officer and hospital Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Quality Officer. He most recently helped lead the development, opening, and growth of Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital, overseeing culture, clinical operations, and technology from the outset. His background spans more than 20 years connecting enterprise technology with clinical practice, with accountability for technology, people, growth, quality, and financial performance.

Notable positions the hire around converting AI deployment into measurable operating results

Pranay Kapadia, CEO and co-founder of Notable, said gains in capacity and margins require changing how work gets done, not simply adding more AI. He said Desai's experience leading clinical technology and taking direct responsibility for hospital operations gives him insight into what health systems can and cannot compromise during transformation.

Desai will focus on patient access, care operations, and workforce productivity

At Notable, Desai will partner with health system executives to identify high-value opportunities, align clinical and operational teams, and translate priorities into deployable, measurable workflows. His mandate emphasizes making change practical within customers' existing infrastructure, staffing, and budgets. He will also help shape Notable's platform development and delivery based on operating priorities.

Desai said the measure of AI will be impact rather than intelligence, defined by whether patients get care sooner, teams gain capacity, and work is completed reliably.

The appointment supports Notable's stated vision for a "System of Work,
