MobileX Launches Hybrid Wireless Model, Debuts CallSign Mobile for Veterans

Irvine, Calif. and Brooklyn, N.Y. – September 17, 2026 -- MobileX has introduced a hybrid retail model that lets third-party brands launch their own wireless services on its network infrastructure, with veteran-founded CallSign Mobile becoming the first company to go live under the new framework.

MobileX opens its wireless infrastructure to outside brands

Under the arrangement, MobileX supplies the underlying wireless technology and network experience, while partner brands like CallSign Mobile control the customer relationship, branding, and community engagement. MobileX said the model is now available to companies across industries seeking to offer direct-to-consumer mobile service without building carrier infrastructure from scratch.

CallSign Mobile targets the veteran and service-connected community

CallSign Mobile, founded by former U.S. Army aviators Adam Marr and Charlie Hill, operates as a direct-to-consumer wireless service on one of the three major U.S. networks with nationwide 5G coverage. From its first day of service, the company will allocate $1 per line per month to the Signal Impact Fund, which backs organizations supporting veterans, including those affected by traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress.

MobileX founder takes advisory role in new venture

Peter Adderton, Founder and CEO of MobileX and previously the founder of Boost Mobile and Digital Turbine, is serving as an advisor to CallSign Mobile. "We're proud to partner with a company whose mission is to serve those who served," Adderton said, describing the partnership as an extension of MobileX's broader expansion strategy.

Adam Marr, Co-founder and CEO of CallSign Mobile, said the venture is built on turning a routine monthly expense -- a mobile phone bill -- into a recurring source of support for the veteran community.
