Mimaki Launches UV-DTF Printer and Next-Gen UV Inks at FESPA 2025, Ushering in a New Era of Custom Printing

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – May 2, 2025 – Mimaki Europe has unveiled its first-ever UV-DTF printer, the UJV300DTF-75, and a new line of environmentally compliant UV inks ahead of the FESPA Global Print Expo 2025. These product introductions mark a major milestone in Mimaki’s innovation journey, aligning with its 50th anniversary celebrations and reinforcing its leadership in industrial and commercial printing solutions.

UV-DTF Technology Expands Creative and Operational Possibilities

Designed to meet rising demand for flexible, high-quality decoration on irregularly shaped items, the UJV300DTF-75 utilizes a UV curable direct-to-film method that allows for customized printing on products previously difficult to decorate. The machine prints designs onto a glue-coated film, transfers them to a sheet, and applies them to the object — enabling more accurate output with reduced risk of print errors.

Key operational benefits include:

  • Enhanced reliability through proprietary silicon film pinch rollers that prevent film peeling and glue displacement.
  • Consistent print quality supported by core Mimaki technologies such as automatic nozzle checks, nozzle recovery, ink circulation, and anti-collision sensors.
  • Flexibility to decorate items with rounded or uneven surfaces, significantly expanding the range of applications.

“Mimaki led the way with the release of its first DTF printer in 2023, which continues to be incredibly successful within the textile market,” said Arjen Evertse, Director Sales at Mimaki Europe. “With the UJV300DTF-75, we have also leveraged our expertise in UV printing to deliver a reliable solution for object decoration, enabling high-quality, durable prints on surfaces that were previously unsuitable for direct UV printing.”

Next-Gen UV Inks Meet Regulatory and Market Demands

In tandem with the hardware launch, Mimaki is introducing ELS-170 and ELH-100 — a new generation of UV inks developed with sustainability and compliance in mind. These inks:

  • Comply with the EU’s REACH regulation, ensuring safe use across European markets.
  • Hold GREENGUARD Gold certification, aligning with growing demand for low-emission, environmentally conscious materials.
  • Offer differentiated durability and flexibility: ELS-170 (flexible CMYK ink) and ELH-100 (hard white and clear inks), optimized for diverse printing needs.

This dual-ink configuration enhances both product quality and application scope, particularly in premium customisation markets.

‘Print Different’: A Vision for Innovation and Inclusion

Celebrating 50 years in the printing industry, Mimaki is introducing its new brand vision: Print Different. This initiative reflects the company’s enduring focus on pushing boundaries through technology, sustainability, and creative empowerment.

“Mimaki’s ethos is one of continuous innovation that combines the need for productivity, performance and improved sustainability,” said Danna Drion, General Manager Marketing and Product Management at Mimaki Europe. “This is why ‘Print Different’ exemplifies everything Mimaki stands for and provides the perfect backdrop for our 50th anniversary celebrations.”

At FESPA 2025, Mimaki will showcase a comprehensive suite of solutions across sectors, including:

  • Tx330-1800: A direct-to-textile printer with dual media support for both fabric and paper.

  • CJV200-160, TS330-3200DS, and TRAPIS: Innovative technologies driving creative output.

Empowering the Next Generation of Print Professionals
